Every student deserves a learning pathway built for them — not a curriculum designed with a one-size-fits-all framework.
The Genius Blueprint™ is an evidence-based, 8-session learning readiness program for students in Grades 6–9. It develops the six executive functioning skills that determine how students learn — not just what they learn.
When a student falls behind in math, the default response is more practice, more tutoring, more time on content. But content is rarely the problem. The gap is almost always in readiness — the executive functioning skills, math identity, and nervous system capacity that make learning possible in the first place.
The Genius Blueprint™ Learning System was designed to close that gap. Built by Sanya Charles-Herrera, OCT — an Ontario mathematics educator with 20+ years of classroom experience — it is a structured, research-informed program that rebuilds the internal conditions for learning before asking students to perform.
The result: students who don't just understand math — they understand themselves as learners. Based on each student's diagnostic results, a fully customized learning pathway is created — ensuring every session addresses exactly what that student needs, not a one-size-fits-all program.
Structured and sequenced — each session builds toward the Genius Profile capstone.
The core executive functioning skills proven to determine academic success.
Designed for the critical junior-to-intermediate and Grade 9 MTH1W transition.
Every student receives a Genius Profile — their individual learning readiness blueprint.
Resilience. Confidence. Focus. Critical Thinking. Growth. These aren't personality traits — they are developable skills. The Genius Blueprint™ builds all six systematically, through a math identity lens, in a sequence that creates lasting change.
When students develop these skills, math stops being a source of anxiety and starts being a space where they feel capable, confident, and in control.
See the 8 SessionsThese are the skills no report card measures — but every teacher notices when they're missing. The Genius Blueprint™ builds all six, in sequence, through a math identity lens.
Direct and sustain mental effort — especially in environments that compete for attention. We use the Focus Funnel™ framework to build this skill deliberately.
Breaking goals into steps, sequencing work, and managing complexity. Students learn to approach unfamiliar problems with a strategy, not anxiety.
Getting started — especially when the work feels hard or unfamiliar. We address the procrastination and freeze response that shuts students down before they begin.
Managing math anxiety, frustration, and fear of failure. The Calm Math Mind™ Coloring Book is integrated throughout as a daily nervous system regulation tool.
Holding and using information while working through multi-step problems. We build strategies that reduce cognitive load and increase retention.
Shifting approaches, learning from mistakes, and seeing problems from multiple angles — essential for the mathematical reasoning Ontario's curriculum demands.
Each session is sequenced intentionally — from diagnosis and self-awareness, through skill-building and math application, to a personalized Genius Profile that students keep and carry forward.
Complete the Math Foundations and EF Skills assessment. Establish your starting point — strengths, gaps, and learning profile.
Explore how students see themselves as math learners. Identify the stories that help — and the ones that hold them back.
Introduce the Focus Funnel™. Build the ability to direct mental effort and sustain concentration through math tasks.
Develop strategies for breaking down problems and getting started — even when the work feels overwhelming.
Integrate the Calm Math Mind™ Coloring Book. Build a personal toolkit for managing math anxiety and frustration in real time.
Strategies for holding and processing information. Learn to shift approaches and learn from mistakes.
Apply EF skills to targeted Grade 6–8 math content. See the difference readiness makes in actual problem-solving.
Every student leaves with a personalized Genius Profile — their complete learning readiness blueprint to carry forward.
The Genius Blueprint™ is not a generic enrichment program. Every personalized learning pathway is built directly on the Ontario 2020 Mathematics Curriculum — targeting the exact strands, expectations, and skills each student needs to master in order to succeed at the next stage.
The diagnostic identifies where each student stands across all five curriculum strands. Their personalized pathway then prioritizes the strands that need the most development — so every session is purposeful, not generic.
Executive functioning skills and math content are developed together — because readiness without content knowledge is incomplete, and content knowledge without the capacity to access it is equally insufficient.
Fractions, decimals, integers, ratios, and proportional reasoning — the foundation of all intermediate and secondary mathematics.
Patterns, expressions, equations, and linear relationships — the core of MTH1W and the most common source of transition difficulty for Grade 9 students.
Collection, organization, analysis, and probability — increasingly central to the Ontario curriculum from Grade 7 onward.
Geometry, measurement, and spatial reasoning — skills that demand both procedural fluency and flexible thinking.
A strand introduced in the Ontario 2020 curriculum — connecting mathematical reasoning to real-world financial decision-making from Grade 6 onward.
The shift from junior to intermediate mathematics introduces abstract thinking, multi-step problem solving, and a significant increase in the pace and complexity of content. Students without strong foundational readiness often lose confidence here — and rarely recover it without targeted support.
Grade 8 is the critical consolidation year. Students must master proportional reasoning, algebraic thinking, and data analysis before entering secondary school. The Genius Blueprint™ targets these exact expectations — ensuring no gaps are carried forward into Grade 9.
Ontario's de-streamed Grade 9 mathematics course places every student — regardless of prior stream — in the same classroom. Students who arrive without strong EF skills, math identity, and foundational content knowledge face an immediate and compounding disadvantage. The Genius Blueprint™ is designed specifically to change that outcome.
"Change the conditions. Honour the learner. Unleash the genius."
The Genius Blueprint™ Summer Intensive is a small-cohort, virtual pilot program bringing the full Learning Readiness framework to students preparing for the critical Grade 6–9 transition — including the de-streamed MTH1W course.
This is not remediation. This is preparation — proactive, personalized, and grounded in the science of how students actually learn.
Each student receives a fully individualized 8-session learning plan built from their diagnostic results. No two students follow the same program.
This is not about catching up. It is about getting ahead — before the transition happens.
Your child completes the free Genius Blueprint™ Math Foundations and Learning Profile Diagnostic — a two-part tool revealing both math content readiness and the EF skills profile behind the results.
Ms. Sanya reviews each student's results personally and builds a fully customized 8-session learning plan sequenced around their individual strengths, gaps, and learning identity.
Students engage in live virtual sessions, develop their EF skills, build math confidence, and leave with a Genius Profile™ — a personal learning readiness blueprint they carry into the school year.
A free interactive learning readiness tool built for Ontario high school students — grounded in executive function science and nervous system regulation. Not just a planner. A daily readiness system.
During our launch window, access is free with your email. After the window closes, the planner becomes exclusive to Summer Intensive registrants. Enter your details below for instant access.
